The first phase of the pet food plant project included the installation of new pneumatic conveying equipment, screw conveyors, storage bins and modifications to several existing storage bins. The work was completed during the first week of July and the new system was tested and turned over to the owner on July 11. Since then, the new system has operated as specified and the owner has been pleased with the work.
The second phase of the project included the installation and start-up of two new extruders, a natural gas-fired dryer and exhaust scrubbing system, a paddle mixer, vacuum coater, vertical cooler, dust collection equipment, additional screw conveyors and pneumatic conveying systems as well as liquid pumping and metering systems.
