Oat Flaking Expansion Facility - St. Ansgar, Iowa

Ibberson provided design, engineering and construction services for the oat flaking expansion project that was completed in the summer of 2007.
The 15-month project consisted of building two new slipform structures with insulated walls. The new slipformed flaking mill tower is 30’ x 40’ x 74’ high with a 30” mat foundation. The slipformed C-mill is 65’ x 88’ x 114’ high with a 36” mat foundation.
The construction of the new addition provides Grain Millers, Inc. increased capacity as well as a new specialty grain line. This new specialty grain system is the only one of its kind in the world, and provides a new product that is in high demand by many food producers.
The project included all civil and millwright work. Most the processing equipment was provided by Buhler, Inc.
